Steven Warsof, MD, F.A.C.O.G.
Prior to this role, he served as Director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Illinois, Chicago, as well as at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. He earned his undergraduate degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his M.D. from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut. He subsequently completed his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, DC. He completed his Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine, both at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, as well as at the Kings College Hospital in London, UK, where he was the recipient of the Jean & Louise Dreyfus Foundation Fellowship in Prenatal diagnosis. He is board-certified both in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as in Maternal Fetal Medicine. He has published numerous articles in the field of prenatal diagnoses and obstetrical ultrasound, as well as being co-editor of one of the first books on color Doppler imaging in obstetrics and gynecology. He is the Editor In Chief of the NT Examiner – a newsletter sponsored by the Nuchal Translucency Quality Review Program. He has served as a reviewer for many national and international journals. His main clinical interests are in prenatal diagnosis, obstetrical ultrasound, multiple gestations, diabetes in pregnancy and preterm labor and prevention. Dr. Warsof sees patients primarily at the Tidewater Perinatal Center in Virginia Beach. He has admitting privileges at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and consulting privileges in many other area hospitals. |
