Perinatal Research
The program currently has more than five prospective active ongoing, or soon to begin, clinical studies which are approved (or pending approval) by the E.V.M.S. Institutional Review Board. The areas of investigation span a diverse range of clinically relevant topics that reflect the diversity of the current members of the division (see below for a representative sample of ongoing studies as of April 2007). Members of the MFM Division have consistently attended and presented research at most of the major national meetings of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the American Diabetes Association and the American Genetics Society. Several members of
the MFM Division have attained international recognition and have been
invited to present their research, or share their expertise, in Maternal
Fetal Medicine abroad (Jordan, Lebanon, Spain, Italy, Belgium and
Argentina).
